The subject of the competition is a woman, modern and fashionable, joyful and upset one, a wife, mother and a friend but not also a sportswoman, a physician or just the woman... Everybody knows thet it is not possible to live without her...
Participation
In the competition will take a part drawing, cartoons and other plastic acts made in optional technics; those original works that have already been exhibited or published but not being rewarded.

2. Format of work - max A3, amount of work - up to 1 works
3. Entrants are responsible for ensuring the correct postage.
4. Entries must arrive at the address below by not later that 25.02.2010 /deadline/

"Green" means "Protesters" - cartoon exhibition
"Green" has a very specific meaning now: Iranian people named "Protesters" are now the symbol of freedom, braveness, and liberation. they chose "Green" as their symbol. the subject for this exhibition is these people. the people they going to be the most brave people in 2009. you can send your cartoons on this theme. there is no money prize, no Trophy and party! but we will organize an exhibition of selected cartoons in Paris. your prize will be proud of involvement of the Iranian Green Movement.

Regulations of the Satyrykon 2010 International Exhibition
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS OF INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION SATYRYKON-LEGNICA 2010 - POLAND1. The SATYRYKON 2010 International Exhibition is an open competition.
2. The objects of the competition are drawings, graphics and other works of fine arts and photography created with the use of optional techniques, being originals, completed within the recent two years (2009-2010), and qualified by artists to:
A) HUMOR and SOCIAL SATIRE (drawing without captions preferred)
B) SIN (drawing without captions preferred).
3. WORKS AWARDED IN OTHER COMPETITIONS will be excluded from the competition.
4. The format of works - maximum A3 (297 x 420 mm).
5. Works should be sent or delivered by February 7, 2010, packed in a protective cover to:

Organisers are not responsible for transport damages.
THE PARTICIPANTS ARE KINDLY ASKED NOT TO POST THE WORKS VIA ELECTRONIC MEANS AS THESE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THE COMPETITION.
6. Participation in the competition is free of charge. However, organisers reserve the right to include one of the submitted works in the Satyrykon Gallery. The work, chosen by the author, will in this way cover our costs of mailing.
7. Works should be accompanied by their author's photo or caricature, a short biographical note and a filled application form (please use capitals).
PRIZES
1. Works for the competition will be qualified by the International Jury.
2. The Jury will award the following prizes:
* GRAND PRIX SATYRYKON 2010 - pure gold key and purse amounting to 6.000 PLN
* 2 gold medals and purses amounting to 5.500 PLN
* 2 silver medals and purses amounting to 5.000 PLN
* 2 bronze medals and purses amounting to 4.500 PLN
* 4 special prizes amounting to 4.000 PLN each
* the Legnica Culture Centre director's award and purse amounting to 4.000 PLN for photographic work.
Jury has the right of final distribution of the statutory prizes, change of their amount, or non-awarding them or non-awarding the GRAND PRIX SATYRYKON. Jury's decisions are final.
The competition results will be announced on March 1, 2010 at Satyrykon web site: http://www.satyrykon.pl/ .

Awards are subject to taxation according to the current regulations. The condition to pay the authors is their arrival for the opening of the exhibition and collection of their awards by December 15, 2010, or it can be transferred into a bank account in a currency specified by the author.
PRIVILAGES OF PARTICIPANTS
1. Authors of work qualified to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue and a free-of-charge place in the catalogue.
2. Organisers provide competition prize-winners with gratuitous participation in the SATYRYKON 2010 event on June 17-20, 2010.
3. Works sent to the exhibitions will be exhibited in the country and abroad after the main exhibition, and then will be returned to their authors by the end of 2011. We kindly ask the authors to notify us about any changes to their address data. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. The organisers reserve the right to use the sent works for SATYRYKON advertising purposes without any special fees paid to the authors: to be exhibited and reproduced in a variety of advertising materials, as well as printed and circulated in catalogues.
2. The prize-winning works become the property of the organisers and will be included in the collection of the Satyrykon Gallery.
3. The exhibition organisers are the final judges in interpretation of the regulations.
4. Sending her/his work the artist agrees to the mentioned above rules and regulations and agree to the publishing of the author's profile in the post-exhibition catalogue.

World Press Cartoon Sintra 2010
1. SPECIFICATIONS AND SCOPE
a) The World Press Cartoon can be regarded as the benchmark of quality and prestige for all those involved in the world of the humor graphic cartoon in print. It will cover three main areas: editorial cartoon, caricature and gag cartoon.
b) The World Press Cartoon will not be a thematic event. Its objectives will be to distinguish the best-produced and published works in 2009.
c) In the category CARICATURE, only caricature works in a restricted sense will be considered, i.e. exclusively those of a humorous nature.
d) In the category GAG CARTOON will be considered works that do not feature subjects dealing with current issues.
e) In the category EDITORIAL CARTOON all entries must deal with actual contemporary events or personalities.
f) The authors are free to submit what they consider to be their best work, although, it is obvious that those characters, themes and events of a more universal nature will be better suited for an international competition as the World Press Cartoon.
2. EXHIBITION
The Prize-giving Gala and the Exhibition of the selected works will take place in the Spring of 2010 at the following venues: Sintra Museu de Arte Moderna and Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, both in Sintra.
3. ELIGIBILITY
a) Only the originals of the works will be accepted.
b) Top quality prints of works achieved by digital tools will be considered originals as long as the author signs them. These will also require, in attachment, a description of the techniques and software used.
c) The format of the works cannot exceed the European standard measurement A3: 420 x 297 mm.
d) Each cartoonist can submit 1 original for each of the 3 different categories: editorial cartoon, caricature and gag cartoon.
e) It is an essential pre-requisite for eligibility that the original works were published between Jan.1 and Dec. 31, 2009 in newspapers or magazines, published on a regular basis and on sale to the public.
f) To make proof of the previous condition, each original work must be accompanied with the corresponding printed page, in which the date and the title of the publication must be clearly visible.
g) The author must also attach the header of the newspaper or magazine where the works were published, making sure that both the size and quality will allow for its reproduction.
h) In such cases as the original work supports a title or a caption, a translation in English is obligatory, to be clearly written on the corresponding identification label.
i) The works should be received by the organization's secretariat in Lisbon by Jan. 31, 2010.
4. PACKAGING
Original works must be posted in flat packaging, between two hard boards.
5. WORK AND AUTHOR IDENTIFICATION
Each of the works for submission must carry an entry form and identification label, clearly filled in, and attached to the reverse side of the original.

6. JURY
a) The Jury of five members will be presided by the Salon director.
b) The Jury will convene in order to examine all the entries and then will deliberate and decide on the prizewinners and runners-up. The Jury will also choose which of the original works will go into the exhibition and the catalogue.
c) The decisions of the Jury will be taken by majority vote and will be final.
7. SALE
a) The authors may choose to sell their works at the exhibition.
b) If an author wishes to sell his/her work(s), this should be clearly marked on the entry form and identification label, together with the intended price in euros.
c) The organization of the World Press Cartoon will add a gallery's fee to the author's original price.
d) The digital works will not be for sale.
8. RETURN OF THE WORKS
a) All the works, which comply with the eligibility items, will be returned to their authors, whether they are selected or not to appear in the exhibition, except for works that are sold or that have won a prize in the competition.
b) All exhibited works wil be returned after the closure of the main exhibition in Sintra and subsequent tour exhibition.
c) Digital prints will not be returned.
d) The author must provide his/her full postal address as indicated on the application form, including street, town/city, post code and country [box numbers are not accepted].
9. CATALOGUE
a) All the participants with selected works will receive a copy of the catalogue.
b) The Editors of the newspapers and magazines where the selected works were published will also receive a copy of the catalogue.
10. ROYALTIES
a) The submission of a completed entry form and identification label will automatically imply the waiving of the author's royalties vis-à-vis the non-commercial reproduction of his/her work.
b) The awarding of a prize to a specific work will automatically imply the waiving of its author's royalties to the organisation of the World Press Cartoon.
11. PRIZES
a) The structure of the prizes will be as follows :

b) Chosen from all the entries in the competition, the World Press Cartoon will award the best work with the Grand Prix of 20 000 euros.
c) The Grand Prix winning work will be chosen from the three first-prise winners in each category.
d) The author of the Grand Prix winning work will receive exclusively this prize, i.e. it will not be added to the first prize.
e) The value of the prizes refer to gross amounts and therefore are subject to Portuguese taxation at the rate in force.
f) In accordance with the quality of the works for evaluation, the members of the Jury reserve the right to award or not all the prizes.
g) All the prizes will be authenticated with a diploma and the winners will receive a trophy.
h) Commemorative diplomas will also be issued to the newspapers and magazines that published the prizewinning works.
i) The prizewinning works will become property of the World Press Cartoon organisation.
j) The members of the Jury may also consider awarding additional runners-up status to some works. These will receive a corresponding diploma.
k) All the authors with selected works both in the exhibition as well as in the catalogue will receive certificates of participation in the World Press Cartoon.

11th International Festival of Strumica 2010 with theme: Carnival - Erotica
Aphorism: In this category each author can participate with maximum of 10 aphorisms, printed in three copies, completed with code and particulars about the author, and set in sealed envelope.
The authors are allowed to participate with more works, each as group of 10(ten) aphorisms and marked with particular code.
Caricature: In this category, the authors can participate and send 3 caricatures, maximum.
The technique is on their own choice, and maximal dimensions A/4.
Particulars about the authors should be written at the back side of the work.
Contest due date:
The works will be accepted up to: January 11, 2010, at latest.
Awards:
Three main prizes. The Organizer has the right to reward some additional prizes.

5th Edition of the International Prize of Humour and Custom Satire
RULES
The Province of Lodi and the town of Codogno, with the help of public or private
organizations and institutions, are going to proclaim the 5th Edition of the
International Prize of Humour and Custom Satire entitled: "Giuseppe Novello: a
good family man".
Both professional and amateur graphic artists can participate to the competition,
by sending unpublished works together with the enrollment form .
Only original works will be accepted, that is, works never published in any kind of
magazines or exhibited in shows.
PARTICIPATION
Each artist is allowed to participate with 3 works at most, regarding the following
theme: "World cup", that is the subject of the 5th Edition of the Novello Prize.
Each work have to be part of the competition spirit and deal with humour and
custom satire. For this reason, works about political satire will not be accepted, as
well as drawings against decency.
It is important also to remember that only the following paintings techniques are
permitted: pencil, Indian ink, watercolour, coloured ink, felt-tip pen.
All works will be examinated by a Jury and the winning drawings will be exposed
at the Show of the International Prize of Humour and Custom Satire that will be in
Codogno from 6h February 2010.
The works will not be returned, since soon they will be recollected in archives by
the Culture and Sport Councillorship of Codogno.
All drawings will not be used for commercial aims, but only to promote the Prize
itself in magazines, newspapers, web, in Italy and abroad.
For this reason, each artist is asked to permit the reproduction of his/her work , if
necessary (except for profit).
PRIZES
The winners will be awarded the following prizes :
1. Novello Prize-1st classified : Euros 1.500,00
2. 2nd classified : Euros 1.000,00
3. 3rd classified : Euros 500,00
4. Special prizes will be awarded from the Jury, after having judged the works
quality and characteristics, for this reason, the amount of the prizes will be
established in collaboration with available partnership.
JURY
The Jury is composed by cartoonists, journalists and showmen and Councillorship
representative.
The Jury is also allowed to not award any prize. In this case, the amount of money
will increase the worth of the prizes for the following edition.
ENROLMENT
All works and enrollment forms must be sent by post or by hand to the Secretary
of the 5th Edition of the "Novello Prize" at the Cultural Office of the town hall of

Any other kind of drawing will be not accepted.
The drawings:
a) must be unpublished (as previously specified in "Rules") and without frame
b) must preferably respect the A4 size (21x 29,7 cm)
Works can be coloured, in black and white or containing text.
In case of strips, the pages (at most 3) must be numbered, following the standard
measures.
